Cristiano Ronaldo has cemented his place in football history by becoming the first player to reach 700 club victories, a milestone that puts him far ahead of his long-time rival Lionel Messi in this category.
Ronaldo played a key role in Al-Nassr's 2-1 win over Al-Raed in the Saudi Pro League on 1 february, scoring once and providing an assist. The victory saw him achieve an unprecedented feat—700 wins at club level.
According to Marca, Ronaldo's victories are spread across his career as follows: 13 wins with Sporting CP, 316 with Real Madrid, 214 with Manchester United, 91 with Juventus, and 66 with Al-Nassr.
The Portuguese forward remains football's all-time leading goalscorer, having netted over 900 goals in all competitions. His record at Al-Nassr now stands at 85 goals in 94 matches.
With this latest triumph, Al-Nassr have moved to within five points of joint league leaders Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad. Their next challenge comes in the AFC Champions League, where they will face Al-Wasl on 5 february.
World Cup 2026 still a possibility?
Speculation continues over whether Ronaldo will extend his career to feature in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he would be 41 years old. Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes recently expressed confidence that Ronaldo would still be part of the squad.
"I not only believe, but I'm almost certain that he'll be there," Fernandes told TNT Sports. "It would be great if Cristiano fulfilled his dream of winning the World Cup, not only for him but for us Portuguese people."
Ronaldo remains the only player to have scored in five different World Cup editions. His international record stands at 135 goals in 217 appearances for Portugal. The World Cup remains the only major trophy missing from his illustrious career.
