Tamim-Liton fluent as Bangladesh reach 100
The Bangladesh openers put on a 100 runs in 18.2 overs.
Bangladesh started brightly against Zimbabwe in the last ODI of the series a Sylhet.
Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das played fluently to provide a brisk start.
They put on a 100 runs partnership in 18.2 overs. Both the batsmen have reached their individual half-centuries.
Liton reached his fifty in 54 deliveries. It was his second fifty of the series and fourth of his career.
Tamim reached his fifty in 60 deliveries.
Earlier, Mashrafe Mortaza as his last match as the skipper lost the toss and saw his counterpart Sean Williams put the hosts into bat first.
Mashrafe announced in a press conference prior to the match that he will step down as captain after the last match of the series against Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh have brought in four changes to their lineup from the second match. Mushfiqur Rahim has been rested as the team management wanted to field the possible eleven which would play against Pakistan in April and Mushfiq has already made it known that despite being asked, he will not tour Pakistan.
Afif Hossain and Naim Sheikh make their ODI debuts whereas Mohammad Saifuddin and Mustafizur Rahman have come back to the side. Shafiul Islam and Al-Amin Hossain has been dropped whereas Nazmul Hossain Shanto is out because of an injury concern.
