The Covid-19 scenario in New Zealand is completely different from that in Bangladesh. In New Zealand, there have been no new cases reported for the last six days.
A lot of people have become jobless during the crisis in Bangladesh. The economy of the country has been largely affected. Cricketers, like others, have been trying to make a difference by helping distressed people financially. Recently, Bangladesh Spin bowling consultant Daniel Vettori has expressed his interest to donate some portion of his salary to low-wage workers of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
CEO of BCB, Nizam Uddin Chowdhury told a media outlet on Thursday, "Vettori has told us that he wants to donate a certain portion of his salary to some insolvent BCB staff. He has expressed this interest informally to BCB."
Daniel Vettori joined Bangladesh coaching staff last November. He gets about $2,500 per day excluding tax. But there is no news as of yet about when Vettori will do this.
