EkShop, call centre 333 win APICTA award
The event was held on Friday in Vietnam
EkShop, an e-commerce platform to extend the benefit of e-commerce to rural people and to reduce the gap of communication between industry stakeholders, has won the APICTA award 2019.
Call centre 333, a helpline to provide citizens with information on procedures of receiving public services, became the runner-up.
The event was held on Friday in Halong of Vietnam.
Both EkShop and call centre service 333 were developed by A2i Bangladesh, the flagship programme of the Digital Bangladesh agenda of the government.
Rezwanul Haque, head of commercialisation at A2i, accepted the award on behalf of EkShop and Ashraful Amin, e-service specialist at A2i, accepted the award on behalf of call centre 333.
APICTA – Asia Pacific ICT Alliance, is an alliance of national ICT organisations representing their respective economy to build and enhance a mutually cooperative network to promote ICT, enhance technology innovations, capability and adoption, and encourage the development of indigenous ICT solutions for the global market.
