Samsung Galaxy Note 10 ditches 3.5mm headphone jack
This would make the device the first in the Note line to not feature an audio port, reports Android Authority.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10, which is supposed to be revealed on August 7, will not be featuring a 3.5mm headphone port, according to multiple sources.
Images of the device’s headphone dongle, leaked via SamMobile, show a USB-C-to-3.5mm dongle similar to the ones seen from smartphone manufacturers that have already ditched the headphone jack.
This would make the device the first in the Note line to not feature an audio port, reports Android Authority.
Leaked renders of both variants of the phone – the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 plus – also suggest that they will ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack.
An anonymous source also confirmed the matter to the Android Police.
Although it has been nearly three years since Apple started this trend of removing the headphone jack, this will be the first flagship Samsung phone to follow suit.
Till now, Samsung has held out for the longest – compared to most other smartphone manufacturers – when it comes to keeping the jack.
