Turkish messaging app 'Bip' has recently gained a noticeable surge in users in Bangladesh alongside 192 other countries worldwide.
The video calling and messaging app developed by Turkish mobile network giant Turkcell, has stirred up the world of technology.
The popularity came following an update to Facebook-owned WhatsApp's privacy policy that will allow it to share more data with its parent company.
Meanwhile, the popularity of Bip in Bangladesh has surpassed other messaging app.
Bip ranked first in Google Play Store, rising 92 steps in just one day, reports BBC Bangla. Mobile data analyst firm 'App Annie' confirmed the progress.
Offering highest privacy, HD voice and video call, BiP has over 53 million users worldwide, according to data shared by Turkcell.
It contains an option that enables users to disappear messages. This feature allows users to send messages safely and make them disappear on the receiver's side in the time set by the sender.
Users can share their location with previously determined 10 people via BiP message and SMS in case of any emergency situations.
Its emergency feature allows access to emergency services – like ambulance, fire brigade, police etc.
In addition, users can chat in 106 different languages during instant messaging using the translation feature.
Bip can be downloaded on iOS, Android and on the desktop.
Launched in 2013, BiP was being used mostly in European countries.
Until recently, the Beep app was the most downloaded in Germany, and it is also widely used there. In addition, many people in France and Ukraine have downloaded the Bip app, reports BBC Bangla quoting officials.
At the moment, there is a huge demand for the app in Europe and the Middle East, according to Turkcell.

He said the number of people downloading the app has reached 60 million and the number may exceed 100 million users in a few months.
