Why Was Martial Law in South Korea Withdrawn Within a Night?
Tensions erupted around South Korea's parliament following the declaration of martial law in the country. After President Yoon Suk-yeol announced the enforcement of martial law, General Park An-su, the army chief, took charge of implementing the order. All forms of political activities were banned under this law. However, after a parliamentary vote and opposition from its members, the president announced its withdrawal.
