Peter Haas joins Excelerate Energy as strategic advisor
Haas retired from the US Foreign Service on 27 September after 33 years of government service
US-based LNG company Excelerate Energy yesterday (30 September) announced the addition of former US ambassador to Bangladesh Peter D Haas as a strategic advisor to the company.
Haas retired from the US Foreign Service on 27 September after 33 years of government service, most recently as ambassador to Bangladesh, Excelerate said in a statement.
He will join Excelerate's Washington DC office in October.
Haas' State Department assignments also included acting assistant secretary of state for economic and business affairs, consul general in Mumbai, India, and deputy permanent representative to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
Earlier in his foreign service career, Haas was posted to US embassies in London, Rabat, Berlin, and Port-au-Prince.
