China allows visa, residence permit holders entry from Sep 28
If the residence permit expired after 12 am, on March 28, foreign nationals can apply for relevant visas by presenting the expired residence permits and relevant materials to the Chinese embassies or consulates on condition that the purpose of the holders' visit to China remains unchanged
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Immigration Administration of The People's Republic of China has suspended the temporary ban on the entry of foreign nationals holding valid Chinese visa or residence permit from September 28.
Foreign nationals holding valid Chinese residence permit for work, personal matters and reunion will not require to apply for new visas.
If the residence permit, held by foreign nationals under the aforementioned three categories, expired after 12 am, on March 28, they can apply for relevant visas by presenting the expired residence permits and relevant materials to the Chinese embassies or consulates on condition that the purpose of the holders' visit to China remains unchanged.
However, the they shall strictly abide by the Chinese regulations on epidemic control.
According to the announcement issued on March 26, the Chinese government will resume foreign entry in an orderly manner while ensuring effective epidemic prevention and control.
