The International Crimes Tribunal today (17 December) extended to 18 February the deadline for submitting the investigation report in a case filed against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina over genocide and crimes against humanity committed during the July movement.
A three-member tribunal, led by Chairman Justice Golam Mortuza Mazumder, passed the order, Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Tajul Islam said.
The tribunal also extended the deadline by two months for submitting the investigation report in another case involving 45 individuals, including Obaidul Quader, former ministers, high-profile individuals, bureaucrats, and political leaders, all accused of similar offences.

The tribunal summoned them as part of the process to review the progress of the investigation in a case filed against them, ICT Prosecutor Abdullah Al Noman said.
This was the second time the accused appeared before the tribunal, with the first hearing taking place today.
The accused include former ministers Anisul Haque, Faruk Khan, Dipu Moni, Rashed Khan Menon, Abdur Razzak, Hasanul Haq Inu, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Shahjahan Khan, Golam Dastagir Gazi, and former state minister Kamal Ahmed Majumder.
