16 Myanmar fishermen held for intrusion into Bangladesh waters

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard detained 16 fishermen of Myanmar along with two trawlers from Saint Martin's island of Cox's Bazar on Friday morning for infiltrating in Bangladesh's waters.
They were detained from 56 nautical miles of Saint Martin's in the Bangladesh waters, said Lieutenant Saad Mohammed Taim, commander of the Coast Guard of Saint Martin's Station.
The detainees are Kashem, 35, Nur Hasim,19, Zalil, 22, Abu Shahid,19, Nabi Hossain, 20, Habibur Rahman, 41, Hossain, 20, Robi, 20, Rafiq, 25, Rafiq Majhi, 30, Dhola, 17, Shaker, 27, Isa Alam, 20, Ahmed Habed, 13, Taher, 18, and Kachir, 20.
The detainees are in the process of being transferred to Teknaf Police Station.
Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Police Station Rakibul Hasan Khan said legal measures will be taken against the detainees according to the law.
