2 books by young Bangladeshi photographer unveiled
Two books in photography of Hreedoy Anirban, a young Bangladeshi photographer, have been unveiled recently.
Akkas Mahmud, former president of Bangladesh Photographers' Association, and renowned photographer David Barikder have opened the ribbon of 'Missing the Beat' and 'Life Enduring During Pandemic'.
The book 'Missing the Beat' is full of black and white photographs captured on vivid life of street singers in New York.
Akkas Mahmud said, "This is undoubtedly a courageous and challenging attempt for a young photographer to work on such a higher-ranking subject. I am amazed and feel seeing the photos that I become so engrossed in their tune."
David Barikder said, "The photos were taken at a time when people remained stuck in their homes. Hrodoy Anirban was busy capturing all of their despairs and struggles to survive unhesitantly. This professional attitude of a young photographer is certainly something to be followed by others."
Hreedoy Anirban recently completed his graduation in Photography from New York City University. The aforementioned books were exhibited in the southern city Khulna apart from Dhaka.
