3 bandits killed in Sundarbans ‘gunfight’ with RAB
Khulna RAB-6 office has informed that they did not carry out the operation. Details can be found from the control room
Three alleged bandits were killed in a reported gun battle with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Satkhira Range area of Sundarbans early Sunday.
Satkhira Shyamnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nazmul Huda confirmed the matter. However, the RAB has not given any details yet about the gunfight.
"We took the three bodies from the hospital to the police station. The RAB has not submitted their names or statements yet. The elite force said they will come later with the information. Details in this regard will be informed later," said the OC.

Earlier, the bodies were kept at Shyamnagar Health Complex after they were brought from the Sundarbans through Shyamnagar around 12am on Sunday.
Jamil Hossain, an officer of RAB-6 Sundarbans camp in Burigoalini Union of the upazila, said, "Senior RAB officials would give details in this regard".
