3 of a family killed in Rajshahi road accident

Three members of the same family were killed when a bus hit their motorcycle in Rajshahi's Puthia upazila today (21 December).
The deceased were identified as Abu Hanif, 27, a businessman from the upazila, his wife Fatema Khatun, 22, and Fatema's younger sister Juthi Khatun, 14.
"Abu Hanif and Juthi died on the spot. Fatema was taken to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where she died after being admitted," Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Paba Highway Police Station (PS) in Puthia Mozammel Haque Kazi told The Business Standard.

"Their relatives took the bodies this evening," he added.
Mizanur Rahman, cousin of the deceased Fatema and Juthi, said around 2:30pm, when they reached Shibpur in Puthia, a bus hit their bike and fled the scene.
Fatime was studying honours at Rajshahi Women's College, and Juthi was a ninth-grade student at Palopaara High School.
