3 probe bodies formed over Brahmanbaria train crash
Two of the probe bodies were formed by the Ministry of Railways and another by the Brahmanbaria district administration.
Three probe committees have been formed to investigate the tragic train accident in Brahmanbaria's Kasba that left at least 16 dead and dozens injured.
"Two of the probe bodies were formed by the Ministry of Railways and another by the Brahmanbaria district administration," Secretary of the Railway Ministry Mohammad Mofazzal Hossain confirmed the matter to media after visiting the spot.
Information Officer of Railways Ministry Shariful Alam told The Business Standard, "A four-member probe body led by Chief Mechanical Engineer (east) Mizanur Rahman has been formed to investigate the incident."
Another four-member committee led by Divisional Transport Officer (Chattogram) Nasir Uddin has been formed, he confirmed.
Brahmanbaria district administration formed a committee with Brahmanbaria Additional District Magistrate Mitu Mariom as its chief.
