3 remanded APBn members in RAB custody
They were released from Cox's Bazar District jail today at around 11:45am and taken into RAB custody
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has taken the three members of Cox's Bazar Armed Police Battalion (APBn) into custody for questioning in connection with the murder of retired Army major Sinha Md Rashed.
They were released from Cox's Bazar District jail today at around 11:45am and taken into RAB custody.
Cox's Bazar District Jail Super Md Mokammel Hossain said, "A team of RAB-15 in Cox's Bazar has taken them into their custody for questioning."
The arrestees are Assistant Sub-Inspector Shahjahan and two constables – Rajib and Abdullah.

They were on duty at the APBn check-post on Cox's Bazar Marive Drive on the July 31 night when Sinha was killed.
On August 17, the investigating agency, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), arrested the APBn members over their alleged involvement in the killing.
Major (retd) Sinha had been in Cox's Bazar with the students to make a documentary film. Earlier on July 31 night, Sinha was killed in a police firing on Cox's Bazar's Marine Drive.
After the shooting, police arrested Sifat, who was travelling with the retired major, at the spot while Shipra was picked up from a local resort. The duo was accused in two different lawsuits – attempted murder and narcotics cases.
