66,194 absent on the first day of JSC, JDC exams
Mymensingh Education Board, which conducting the public exams for the first time, has the highest expulsion number
A total of 66,194 students were absent and 38 were expelled on the first day of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dhakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations on Saturday.
An invigilator was also expelled in Mymensingh Board for helping students flouting the rules.
As many as 44,962 examinees were absent in nine general education boards and 21, 232 students in Madrasa Board, said education ministry sources.
Of the expelled examinees, 18 from Mymensingh board, 8 from Barisal, 5 from Rajshahi, 6 from Dhaka, Cumilla and Madrasa boards and 1 from Dinajpur board.
