7 injured during July uprising go to Singapore for treatment

A total of seven people whose eyes were injured during the mass uprising in last July-August period went to Singapore today (24 January) for treatment.

The seven injured who were receiving treatment at the National Institute of Ophthalmology are- Abdullah Al Baki, Akter Hossain, Md Yeamin, Foyez Ahmed, Minhajul Islam Shuvo, Mohammad Ramjan and Salman Bin Shoaib.
Dr Mahmudul Hasan, personal assistant of Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum, along with Convener of the cell formed by the National Citizen's Committee for treatment of the injured Dr Mahmuda Alam Mitu, handed over the tickets of the flight to the seven injured yesterday night.
Contacted, Mahmudul Hasan said, "We have been working for the treatment of the injured since I took office. The health adviser always asks about them. We will soon send more victims abroad for treatment."
"We have always maintained contact with the health ministry regarding treatment of the victims. They are valuable children of the nation. We can do everything to ensure their proper treatment. We ask for everyone's prayers for the safe return of those who have gone to Singapore," said Mitu, convener of the Cell.
Till now, a total of 13 injured victims of the mass uprising have been sent abroad for treatment.
