Aly Zaker laid to eternal rest
Legendary actor Aly Zaker has been laid to eternal rest at the Banani graveyard in the capital on Friday afternoon.
He was buried complying with hygiene rules following the Namaz-e Janaza after Asar Prayer.
Earlier around 11:30am, his body was taken to the Liberation War Museum, where he was awarded with a guard of honour.
Aly Zaker, also director and chairman of Asiatic 3 sixty, breathed his last at 6:40 am on Friday while undergoing treatment at United Hospital in the capital.
The actor, 76, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday as his health condition started to deteriorate, said family sources.
Aly Zaker had been battling cancer for the last 4 years. Besides, the talented cultural personality was also suffering from various old age complications. He also tested positive for coronavirus recently.
Born on 6 November, 1944, in Chattogram, Aly Zaker was a freedom fighter and an artiste of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra during the Liberation War of 1971.
