Rangpur’s China-returnee student sent to Dhaka in critical condition
The student was studying at the Yang Hu University of China. He was released after a primary check-up at the Shahjalal International Airport after he had landed there at 7am Sunday
A Bangladeshi student, who was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital with early symptoms of coronavirus infection, has been transferred to the capital's Kurmitola General Hospital in critical condition on Monday.
Dr Humayun Kabir, in-charge of the Isolation Department of Rangpur Medical College Hospital, confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
The student was studying at the Yang Hu University of China. He was released after a primary check-up at the Shahjalal International Airport after he had landed there at 7am Sunday.
But he started to feel unwell upon arriving at his home at Kaliganj, Lalmonirhat. He was taken to hospital at 10pm the same day and was admitted to the Coronavirus Unit of the Isolation Department.
Another China-returnee Bangladeshi student, who was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital on Saturday, has been declared free of coronavirus after further test by Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
