Arrest warrant issued against Fakhrul, Tarique
The metropolitan magistrate, issued the arrest warrant on hearing the plaintiff’s plea.
A Dhaka court issued an arrest warrant against nine BNP leaders, including Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the party’s Secretary General and Tarique Rahman, its acting Chairperson, in a case filled by AB Siddique, president of Bangladesh Jananetri Parishad, on Monday.
Early in the day, AB Siddique filled the case at the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court. Saitta Brata Shikder, the metropolitan magistrate, issued the arrest warrant on hearing the plaintiff’s plea.
Apart from the Party Chief and the secretary general, the court issued the warrant in the case against BNP Standing Committee Members Dr Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain, Amir Khashru Mahmud Chowdhury,and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi; BNP chairperson’s advisor Aman Ullaa Aman; BUET teacher Hafijur Rahman Rana; and Chttradal Leader Emdadul Haque Bhuyian.
According to the case document, the plaintiff accused Hafizur Rahman Rana of sending him a threatening letter by registered post.
