Bangladesh Air Force chief departs for USA
Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, along with his spouse and two entourages left Dhaka for the United States on Friday on a six-day official visit.
During his visit to the USA, Masihuzzaman will participate in bilateral meetings with high-up officials of UN Headquarters in New York on the issues related to UN peacekeeping missions of Bangladesh Air Force, reads a press release issued by ISPR.
He will also call on Chief of US Air Force General Charles Q Brown, Jr and Director of Defence Security Co-operation Agency (DSCA) Heidi Grant and exchange views on different issues of mutual interests.
During his stay in the USA, he will visit various military and civil installations in the USA including aviation companies like Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
During his visit to Boeing Company, he will give a brief presentation on Bangladesh in addition to participating in a discussion on Aviation and Military equipment.
It is expected that the visit of Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force will provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion with High Officials of UN Headquarters on various issues related to the Bangladesh Air Force UN peacekeeping mission which will help to determine future course of action for the country. Finally, through this visit, the existing bilateral relations between the Air Forces of the two friendly countries will be further strengthened.
