The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has ordered all banks to freeze the accounts of Awami League Joint General Secretary and former member of parliament Mahbubul Alam Hanif.

Bank account transactions of his wife, family members and the businesses owned by them have also been ordered to be suspended, a senior official from BFIU confirmed.
