Birsrestha Mostafa Kamal’s mother airlifted to Dhaka for better treatment
The 96-year-old mother of the martyr was admitted to Bhola Sadar Hospital on August 18 with anemia, kidney, respiratory and other old age related complications
Maleka Begum, the mother of Birsrestha Mohammad Mostafa Kamal, has been admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital.
Earlier at 2.14pm, a helicopter of the Bangladesh Army carrying her arrived at the old airport in the capital's Tejgaon area. Later she was admitted to the CMH for better treatment.

The Business Standard had published a report styled "Critically ill Birsrestha Mostafa Kamal's mother needs better treatment" the day before the army took this step.
Mustafa Kamal was born in 1947 at West Hajipara village in Daulat Khan upazila of Bhola district. His father Mohammad Hafiz was a havildar in the army.
Mostafa Kamal ran away from home on December 16, 1967, and joined the then East Bengal Regiment. Later, he was promoted to the post of honorary Lance Naik sometime before the beginning of the Liberation War in 1971.
