Police recovered the bodies of two missing madrasa students from a pond today three days after they went missing in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj area on Monday.
"Locals informed police after seeing the bodies floating in the pond near Barma Stand area. Later, relatives of the students recovered the bodies," Officer-in-Charge of Siddhirganj Police Station Kamrul Faruk said.
They went missing on January 10 while playing. Later, their family members filed general diaries over the incident, he added.
The bodies were sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy, he added.
"The cause of their death might be drowning," Additional Superintendent of Narayanganj police station Mehedi Imran Siddiqui said.
"An investigation is underway. The cause of death could be known after getting the autopsy report," the ASP added.
