Bodies of 2 teenage girls found hanging in Brahmanbaria

The police on Wednesday found the hanging bodies of two teenage girls in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria.
The bodies of Sonia and Sumaiya – both around 13-14 years old – were found behind the post office in Kuti union area around 6pm, police sources said. The girls hailed from the Kuti village and Belonged to two local families.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Brahmanbaria Assistant Superintendent of Police (Kasba Circle) Mizanur Rahman said, "Local people found the girls hanging from an iron staircase behind the post office, and contacted the police.
"Later, law enforcers arrived at the scene and recovered their bodies. We spoke with the family members of the deceased girls. Initially, the deaths look like suicides. But exact cause of death will become clear after we get the autopsy report."
The bodies will be sent to the district sadar hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
