Bodies of 2 tourists recovered from Rupashi Waterfall in Ctg's Mirsarai

The bodies of two young tourists were recovered from the deep well of Rupashi Waterfall in Chattogram's Mirsarai today (4 October), hours after they were reported missing.
The deceased were identified as Musfiqur Rahman, 21, and Mahbub Rahman Mustakim, 21, both residents of Narayanganj.
"A search and rescue team from the Mirsarai Fire Service and Civil Defence retrieved the bodies from the deep well of Rupashi waterfall, located in the hills of Wahedpur Union, around 1pm after two hours search," Imam Hossain Patwari, the station officer, told The Business Standard.
"Upon receiving the information about the missing tourists, we dispatched a diving team to, around 9am. The diving team began their search at approximately 11am," the officer added.
According to eyewitnesses, the tragic incident occurred during a group outing, where a team of 13 tourists had ventured into the area to enjoy the scenic waterfall.
This incident comes just days after another tragedy on 27 September, when a bank official died after being struck by a falling stone at the nearby Khoiyachara Waterfall.
