Brac to work on increasing capacities of its partner NGOs
Brac aims to assist its partner NGOs in smoothly implementing their programmes
Brac, one of the largest non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the world, has planned to work on increasing the capacities of its partner NGOs.
It is imperative to bring dynamism to the operations of NGOs for the smooth implementation of programmes in order to improve the condition of local people, said Brac officials.
Brac officials said this while addressing a workshop titled "Review and Planning with Local NGOs," at a hotel in Cox's Bazar on Thursday, said a press statement.

Sajedul Hasan, director of the Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme at Brac; Hasina Akhter Huq, its area director; Mohammed Norul Alam Raju, head of programme; Saad Mahmood, programme coordinator; Md Nazim Uddin, senior manager, grants; among others were present at the event.
Speaking at the event, Sajedul Hasan said, Brac will enhance its activities with partner NGOs to increase their capacities. In this respect, partner NGOs will work for the implementation of programmes, while Brac will just provide them with technical support.
Hasina Akhter said, "We are focusing on the issue of quality regarding the implementation of programmes along with increasing the number of NGOs. It is expected that it will create more dynamism to activities."
Over 50 representatives, including top officials of Brac's six partner NGOs, attended the workshop.
Brac's six partner NGOs are: the Society for Health Extension and Development, the Programme for Helpless and Lagged Societies, the Alliance for Cooperation and Legal Aid Bangladesh, Jago Nari Unnayan Sangstha (JNUS), Nongor, and Helps Cox's Bazar.
