Cold wave may start tomorrow
There can be moderate to thick fog in different places across the country from midnight to noon today
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in its weather forecast said cold wave may start from tomorrow in some districts, such as Rangpur and Sylhet.
"There is no cold wave today anywhere in the country, but cold is being felt because of thick fog that started from midnight," said Meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallick.
He said there is no possibility of rainfall this month, adding that chilly weather conditions may continue throughout January.
The temperature may fluctuate between 20 to 27 degrees Celsius during the day and 10 to 15 degrees Celsius at night throughout January.
There can be moderate to thick fog in different places across the country from midnight to morning.
The lowest temperature was recorded today at 10.2 degrees Celsius at Ishwardi in Pabna, while the temperature of Dhaka was recorded at 14.1 degrees Celsius.
