Transport owners and workers have been observing a strike without any prior announcement in Chattogram city today putting students and office-goers in immense sufferings.
This strike was called in protest of imprisonment of owner, driver and helper of an unfit bus.

Later a mobile court sentenced the bus owner Monir Hossain to 15-day imprisonment and, the driver and the helper to 30-day imprisonment.
Belayet Hossain, secretary-general of Chattogram Metropolitan Transport Owners Group, said "We do not know anything about it. The owners have moved by themselves."
"We are trying to resume the vehicular movement within afternoon," he added.
