The Anti-Corruption Commission submitted charge sheet before a Dhaka court against its suspended director Khandaker Enamul Basir and suspended deputy inspector general of police Mizanur Rahman for exchanging Tk 40 lakh as bribe.
ACC Director Sheikh Md Fanafillah submitted the charge sheet before Dhaka Senior Special Judge Court today.

Earlier, on January 12, the ACC finalised bribery charges against Basir and Mizan after they found proof of bribery allegations against the duo beyond any doubt.
ACC Director Sheikh Md Fanafillah filed the case against DIG Mizan and Bashir on July 16 last year.
On June 24, ACC Director Manzur Morshed filed a case against DIG Mizan at the Integrated District Office (Dhaka-1) after investigating allegations of illegal wealth acquisition.
In the case, DIG Mizan and his nephew Sub-Inspector Mahmudul Hasan, both are in jail, were charged with amassing illegal assets worth over Tk3.28 crore and hiding information on that.
