Evict illegal installations from car parking places: HC

The High Court (HC) today ordered authorities concerned to evict all kinds of illegal installations raised in car parking places across the capital in six months.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore and Justice Mohammad Ullah passed the order while declaring absolute a rule issued earlier in this regard.
The court also asked Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) to publish a notice in two national dailies, one Bengali and an English, asking the owners of the buildings to remove the illegal structures from parking areas within a month.
If the owners in spite of receiving the notice do not remove or demolish the illegal structures, RAJUK will do that in next six months and realized the cost of the eviction drive from the concerned building owners. The court also asked RAJUK to submit a compliance report every three months.
The court also directed authorities of two Dhaka city corporations not to permit park vehicles on the street.
