Form task force to stop unfit vehicles: High Court
The Court also asked the BRTA to submit a report by June 1 on the progress of implementation the order.
The High Court today directed the authorities concerned to form a task force across the country so that vehicles without fitness clearance and license can't ply on the roads.
The court directed to the secretaries of Road Transport and Highways Division, Public Administration and Home Affairs to take step for forming the task force, headed by the Deputy Commissioner (DC).
Executive magistrate, police and representatives of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) will be members of the task force.

The Court also asked the BRTA to submit a report by June 1 on the progress of implementation the order.
BRTA and the Police Headquarters submitted the explanation about their measures taken against unfit vehicles on last Thursday.
After hearing on the report, HC bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice KM Hafizul Alam passed the order today.
Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik stood for the state. Advocate Moynul Alam Firoj and Rafiul Islam stood for BRTA.
Amin Uddin Manik told the media, "BRTA said in their explanation that they cannot conduct mobile court against unfit vehicle due to lack to manpower."
"BRTA asked for direction from the court on forming the task force," he added.
On October last year, the court told the authorities concerned to take necessary steps so that vehicles without valid fitness documents cannot get fuel from any filling station.
It also ordered law enforcers to strictly monitor filling stations across the country so that they do not supply fuel to those vehicles.
On July 23 last year, the HC ordered to renew fitness certificate of the vehicles within two months.
