4 remanded over attack on journalist during Dhaka city polls

A Dhaka court today placed four accused on one-day remand in connection with the attack on journalist Mostafizur Rahman Sumon during Dhaka city polls on February 1.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain granted the remand when police produced them before the court with 7-day remand plea.
Assistant Sub- Inspector (General Recording Officer) of Mohammadpur police station, Jahangir Hossain confirmed the matter.
On February 8, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained four men; Alauddin, 26, Masud Mia, 20, Rasel Hossain, 35 and Apu Mia 24 from different places of the capital.
Mostafizur Rahman Sumon, is crime reporter of online news portal Agami News.

He was first rushed to the Sikder Medical College Hospital and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he received six stitches.
