Photojournalist attacked in capital

A photojournalist of an online news portal was attacked by some unidentified individuals in the capital today (24 January).
The photojournalist, Habibur Rahman of SaraBangla, has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), said DMCH police outpost In-Charge Inspector Md Faruk.
While undergoing treatment at DMCH's emergency department, Habibur told reporters that he was attacked when he was on way to his home in Wari on motorcycle after Jummah prayer.

"Around 2:30pm, I arrived at Abhoy Das Lane in the Gopibagh area. All of sudden some unknown people stopped my motorcycle and started beating me on head," he said.
"I hope police would find some CCTV footages from the area and be able to identify the perpetrators," he added.
