HC grants bail to photojournalist Kajol
With these, Kajol has granted bail from HC in all three cases filed against him
The High Court has granted bail to photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol in two separate cases filed under the Digital Security Act.
The virtual bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order on Thursday after hearing two separate bail petitions filed by him seeking bail in the cases filed with the Kamrangirchar and Hazaribagh police stations.
Barrister Jyotirmoy Barua stood for Kajol while Deputy Attorney General Mohamamd Sarwar Hossain Bappi represented the state.

With these, Kajol has granted bail from HC in all three cases filed against him.
Earlier on 24 November, the court granted bail to photojournalist Kajol in another case filed with the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station under the Digital Security Act.
At the same time, the court fixed 15 December for hearing of the remaining two cases against him.
Shafiqul Islam Kajal had gone missing on 10 March, a day after the case was filed by the Awami League's Magura-1 MP Saifuzzaman Shikhor.
Kajol and 30 others, including Manabzamin Editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, were accused in the Digital Security Act case for publishing and sharing an article on social media regarding expelled Jubo Mohila League leader Shamima Noor Papia.
Later, two other cases were filed against Kajol at Kamrangirchar and Hazaribagh police stations under the Digital Security Act on 10 and 11 March.
After his 53-day disappearance, Kajol was detained by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at the Benapole border on 3 May and was produced before Jashore court.
