The writ was filed by a customer of Unipay2u who is owed more than Tk3 crore by the company
The High Court has issued a rule asking the authorities concerned to explain why more than Tk420 crore due should not be returned to the customers of the so-called multi-level marketing company Unipay2u.
Shamsuzzaman Tuhin, a Supreme Court lawyer and also the lawyer of the writ petitioner, confirmed it to The Business Standard.
A High Court bench of Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order on Wednesday.

The writ was filed by a customer of Unipay2u who is owed more than Tk3 crore by the company.
The secretary of the finance ministry, governor of the Bangladesh Bank, Brac Bank, National Bank, City Bank, chairman of Unipay2u and other people concerned have been asked to respond to the rule.
Lawyer Shamsuzzaman Tuhin said, "More than Tk420.14 crore of the company has been stuck in different accounts related to the case. The writ was filed to distribute the money among the customers."
