4, including 2 army personnel, arrested over alleged attempted robbery
The individuals were apprehended yesterday night while plotting a robbery in the Mogbazar area
Police have arrested four individuals, including two serving members of the Bangladesh Army from Dhaka's Banani area while they were allegedly preparing for a robbery.
Confirming the arrests today (22 January), Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Russell Sarwar told The Business Standard that the individuals had been apprehended last night (21 January) while plotting a robbery in the Mogbazar area.
"The two army personnel have been handed over to military authorities, while a court ordered three days remand for the other two individuals," he said.
However, the OC declined to reveal the names of the arrested individuals, suggesting that the media contact the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) for further details.
The OC further said, "A microbus was seized along with various tools for breaking locks."
"A case has been filed in connection with the incident," he added.
