Biman's Rome flight gets bomb threat, lands safely at Dhaka airport
The flight, carrying 250 passengers and 13 crew members, landed safely at 9:20am today (22 January), confirmed Captain Kamrul Islam in a press statement.

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka received a bomb threat today (22 January) for a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Rome, Dhaka Airport Group Executive Director Captain Kamrul Islam has said.
The flight, carrying 250 passengers and 13 crew members, landed safely at 9:20am today (22 January), confirmed Captain Kamrul Islam in a press statement.
He said, "We received a bomb threat from an unknown number regarding the flight. All passengers safely evacuated the aircraft and went to the terminal."
He also said they were following protocol to detect if any threat was still available.
The executive director said he would inform the media of the situation in detail later.
Taslima Akter, officer-in-charge of the Airport police station told The Business Standard, "No bomb has been found so far. However, the search is still ongoing."
The Biman flight BG-356, en route from Rome to Dhaka, received information during the journey that someone onboard had issued a bomb threat.
Following the landing, the aircraft has been secured within a safety perimeter by law enforcement agencies.
