CID arrests 5 more of women trafficking gang
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police has arrested five more people in connection with the gang of trafficking women to India and other countries.
The arrestees are: Md Shaheen, Rafiqul Islam, Biplob Ghosh, Aktarul and Md Bablu.
Sheikh Rezaul Haider, additional deputy inspector general of police, revealed this at a press briefing on Monday at the CID headquarters.
Earlier on 25 August, CID arrested Mohemunizzaman Pratik Khandaker, the ringleader of a women trafficking gang, and three others involved in the racket.
"The racket trafficked at least 20 women and juveniles to India's Rajkot," said the Additional DIG.
