Ex-Jubo League leader Khaled’s aide held
Khan has been absconding since the arrest of the former Jubo League leader on September 18.
Police have arrested a close aide of expelled Jubo League leader Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan from Dhaka on Monday.
Tipped off, a team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested aide Ullah Khan alias Mohammad Ali, 42, from Kamlapur Railway Station area, said a press release of police.
"Khan have been working as a close aide of Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan, who made headlines for running casinos at the sporting clubs in the capital," the release added.
He has been absconding since the arrest of the former Jubo League leader on September 18.
According to the press release, Khan used to look after Khaled's illegal earnings. He was also employed as the general manager of Bhuiyan and Bhuiyan Developer Limited, a company owned by Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan.
