Eyewitnesses describe Sinha killing to RAB
Eyewitnesses described the killing of retired army major Sinha Rashed Khan when Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohammad Khairul Islam, new investigating officer of Sinha murder case, visited the spot in Teknaf's Baharchhara with a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Saturday.
The team stayed there for one and a half hours. "We are conducting a thorough investigation so that no culprit can escape. We don't belong to any party. We are trying to find out the truth," ASP Khairul said.
Locals said the investigating team of the RAB went to the spot around 2:15pm on Saturday. When the locals walked to them, the cops asked them to describe what they saw, without any fear.
At that moment, several eyewitnesses talked to them. One eyewitness came forward and described the position of Sinha's dead body on the road.
New investigating officer ASP Khairul used bricks to understand Sinha's position on the road after he was shot. He also stopped a private car and tried to replicate the scene.
The investigating team visited the spot, collected information and left the spot around 3:30pm.
