Khan Bahadur Group MD arrested in cheque fraud case
He is the eldest son of former CCC Mayor, Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury
Tejgaon police have arrested Moinuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, managing director (MD) of Khan Bahadur Group, in a cheque fraud case filed by Bangladesh Finance.
He was arrested from the company's Banani office on Thursday and taken to Tejgaon Police Station, according to a media release issued by Bangladesh Finance.
The arrested Moinuddin is the eldest son of former Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury, and is also the managing director of another company – Amanat Marine Works Limited.

Bangladesh Finance, a reputable financial institution in Bangladesh, filed a case against Moinuddin after finding evidence of cheque forgery in a transaction with the institution.
Several members of Moinuddin's family are facing a number of loan default charges, read the media release.
The court has already issued several arrest warrants against Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury and his two sons.
