Man arrested over shooting Bangladeshi shopkeeper in Boston

Boston Police have arrested the man who allegedly shot a Bangladeshi shopkeeper in the head during a robbery in Roxbury, near Boston, (Massachusetts, USA) last month.
They arrested Stephon Samuel, 25, on Friday (local time), after a joint investigation by Boston Police, Brockton Police Department and the FBI Boston Violent Crimes Task Force.
Stephon was charged with armed robbery, armed assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and armed career criminal level 1, according to Boston Police.

On July 14, Tanjim Siam, 25, was shot in the head during an armed robbery at a grocery shop.
He is still in critical condition and undergoing treatment in a hospital.
Brockton police said Samuel was taken into custody a day after the Motel 6 in Brockton was robbed at gunpoint early in the morning of July 22.
In that incident, police said Samuel took an undisclosed amount of cash before pressing the hotel employee to handover more money and threatening to shoot him.
Brockton police said the employee and the suspect engaged in a physical altercation before the suspect fled the motel.
"The 25-year-old armed robber is a suspect who police departments across the state have made inquiries about regarding similar crimes in their communities," Brockton Police said about Samuel.
However, Siam's family was finally able to arrive in New York City on Monday with the help of the Boston Convenience Store Owners Association, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senator Ed Markey.
They cleared Covid-19 protocols on Tuesday and arrived in Boston Medical Center on Wednesday.
Siam immigrated to the United States from Bangladesh earlier this year.
A GoFundMe page is set up to raise fund for bearing his treatment expenses.
