Munia’s suicide: Samples sent to CID for forensic, DNA tests
Two mobile phones, some cloths and DNA samples of college student Mossrat Jahan Munia have been sent to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for digital forensic and DNA tests.
"The CID will analyse and test those evidence in its digital forensic lab and also try to find out whether any person was present at the time of her death," Jisanul Haque, senior assistant superintendent of CID told The Business Standard this afternoon.
Munia, a second-year college student, was found dead in her rented flat in the capital's Gulshan-2 area on Monday night.
Following her death, Munia's elder sister Nusrat Jahan filed a case under Section 306 of the Penal Code with the Gulshan police station accusing Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir of "abetment of suicide."
