Pradip Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station, has been withdrawn to the police lines over the killing of the retired Army major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan in police firing.
An assistant inspector general of the Police Headquarters told The Business Standard today wishing anonymity.
Earlier in the day, a case was filed against Teknaf police station Officer-in-Charge Pradip, Baharchhara Check-post In-Charge Liakat among nine policemen over the killing of major Sinha. Sinha's sister Sharmin Shahria Ferdous filed the case with the court of Teknaf Upazila Judicial Magistrate court.
Sinha was killed in police firing in Cox's Bazar Marine Drive on Friday night.
