DBCCI appoints Mamun as new president, Risalat as secretary
Vice Chairman of Bhaiya Group Shakawat Hosain Mamun has been elected as the new president of the Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the 2025-27 term, and Dr. Muhammad Risalat Siddique, The Man of Steel (Chairman) Analyzen Bangladesh Ltd. has been elected as the secretary, said a press release.
In addition, Md. Kazi Aftabur Rahman - Senior Vice President, Md. Shahid Alam-First Vice President, Meherun Islam- Second Vice President, Md. Haroon-ur-Rashid Joint Secretary, Sumaiya Noor Chowdhury- Finance Director, Md. Sayem Faroky - Director (Editor and Publisher of Daily Rupali Bangladesh and Proprietor of Sayem Trade International), Md. Mazharul Haque Chowdhury (chairman of media group)-Director, Noafel Bin Reza-Director, Engineer Razeeb Haider-Director, Md. Kawser Hossain-Director, Abdul Hakim (Sumon)-Director, Shah Mohammad Rafkhat Afser-Director and Md. Khandakar Imranur Islam-Director.
Incidentally, Shakawat Hosain Mamun is serving as the Vice Chairman of the traditional industrial group of Bangladesh, 'Bhaiya Group of Industries.' He is the Chairman of Bhaiya Apparels Ltd., Natural Rice Bran Oil Ltd., Sigma Systems Ltd. and the Managing Director of Pacific Consumer Group. Apart from this, he is a member of various business organizations including Dhaka Chamber of Commerce, BASIS, E-Commerce Association, China Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, BGMEA (Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association), BAPA and has served in various positions at different times.
Shakawat Hosain Mamun served as the 2016 National President of Junior Chamber International, the largest youth organization in Bangladesh. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Junior Chamber.
