Journo missing since Thursday found in Sitakunda
Sarwar has been admitted to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital in an unconscious state
Golam Sarwar, a 35-year-old journalist who went missing from Chattogram on Thursday morning, has been found near a roadside bridge in the Kumira area of Sitakunda.
Confirming the matter, Sitakunda police Inspector (investigation) Sumon Chandra Bonik told The Business Standard that local people found Sarwar without any clothes except a thin undershirt around 8pm on Sunday.
Quoting Sarwar, local journalist Kamrul Islam said, "Some miscreants used an ambulance to drop Sarwar off in the Kumira area. After hearing him shout, some local people rushed to the spot and found him in a very weak physical state.

"They then brought him to a nearby decorator's shop. The police arrived in the area around 8:15pm."
The journalist was later admitted to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital in an unconscious state. He is currently undergoing treatment there.
Sarwar disappeared after leaving his residence in Chattogram's Battery Goli area on Thursday morning. He serves as the executive editor of "Current Times News (CTN) BD," a Chattogram-based online news portal.
He also works as a staff journalist for a Dhaka-based weekly publication "Ajker Surjodoy," and is a member of the Chattogram Union for Journalists (CUJ).
After his disappearance, the CUJ on Sunday staged a rally in front of the Chattogram commissioner's office demanding safe return of the missing journalist. The CUJ had also organised a protest rally at its premises on Saturday, which was attended by his wife and son.
