Dhaka University Central Students Union (Ducsu) Vice President Nurul Haque Nur has demanded students' union election at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet).
While placing 5-point demand in a press conference at the Modhur Canteen of Dhaka University, he also demanded fast settlement of Buet student Abrar murder case under Speedy Trial Tribunal and guestroom culture has to be stopped at all universities.
He also demanded cancellation of "anti-State deal with India" and reshuffle of existing administration of the university.
Earlier on October 9, Nur expressed solidarity with protesters, who were demanding justice for Abrar Fahad.
Abrar, a second-year student of electrical and electronic engineering department at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), was beaten to death allegedly by a group of Chhatra League activists on October 7.
