Each student movement martyrs' family will get Tk30 lakh as compensation
Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hassan said the government will also provide compensation to those who sustained injuries during the movement
The interim government has decided to pay Tk30 lakh each to every family of the martyrs of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The decision has been taken at today's (17 October) meeting of the government's Advisory Council, Mahfuj Alam, special assistant to Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, told the media at a press briefing in the afternoon.
Also speaking on the occasion, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said the government will also provide compensation to those who sustained injuries during the movement.
"Those who need advanced treatment will be sent abroad," she added.
